The Chapter painted murals for the First Baptist Church in Tom Bean as their large service project for 2007. We painted the children's department. The short hallway as you enter was done with clouds, sky, grass, fence, flowers, etc. The back wall is the focal point with a cove of water, sand, pier, kids playing in the sand and other things dealing with that such as sand pails, sand castles, etc.
Hallways
Nursery which will be done last – Fairytale (lambs playing in a meadow with rolling hills, wildflowers, maybe a fence, etc
Toddlers – Tree house with animals and maybe a jungle, but not a dense one.
Preschool – this will be the underwater room with fish, mermaids, etc
K and 1st – Toy story 2nd – 3rd – Castle with knights, princess, moat and drawbridge.
4th, 5th – Wilderness (forest, camping)
The idea is to be places kids would go to be by themselves and fanaticize. They want to make the rooms somewhere the kids want to go and be in.
